Our apprentices progress towards WorldSkills!
There are currently seven apprentices through to the squad selection process for WorldSkills London 2011: Philip Green - Bricklaying; Luke Hawthorne & Wayne Cully - Carpentry; Stuart Millar & Bryan Craig - Refrigeration; Ian McMahon & Mark Woods - Wall & Floor Tiling.
The squad have been travelling throughout the UK and Europe to take part in various training competitions in preparation for WorldSkills 2011. Our two Wall & Floor tilers Ian and Mark have recently been to Switzerland!
Skillbuild NI is pleased to recognise the achievements of Pat Phillips who is the UK Skills Training Manager for Carpentry and recently appointed David McKay as Wall & Floor Tiling Training Manager. These experts are at the top of their field and are responsible for the training and selection of who ultimately represents the UK in their chosen crafts.
