Three of the apprentices from Southern Regional College who are going to the National Finals in Leeds to compete. Notice the amazing backdrop!
The apprentices in this photo are: John Morgan - Wall & Floor Tiling; Alexander Gordon - Joinery and Ryan O'Gorman - Painting & Decorating. Best of luck to them as they embark on a major competition in Leeds College of Building on Wednesday 14th September until Friday 16th September 2011. In total there are thirteen apprentices making their way to Leeds to compete in this competition, having excelled at the Northern Ireland National Final back in April 2011.
The amazing backdrop was handpainted by students of Paddy Maguire, as part of their training in the Painting & Decorating section of Southern Regional College, Greenbank, Newry. This is a truly outstanding achievement, both for the apprentices and of course the training they are getting at the college! Watch out for next years competition!
