Skillbuild NI Winners at National & World Level are recognised for their success!
CITB-ConstructionSkills NI hosted a celebratory event on 25 October to congratulate those who participated and won medals at the UK Skillbuild National Finals held in Leeds in September and at the WorldSkills London event held earlier this month.
Participants, employers, lecturers and sponsors came out in force to show their gratitude for the hard work the apprentices have put in place to compete at UK and World levels.
In attendance were WorldSkills medalists Phillip Green who won a Gold medal in Bricklaying and Stuart Millar who won a Bronze medal in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
David Cooper Chairman of Skillbuild Northern Ireland Limited said: “Congratulations to all the medal winners, it is a fantastic achievement on a local stage. The SkillBuild NI competition provides the perfect platform to demonstrate the enormous talent we have in the industry, helping to showcase the professionalism of our brightest recruits and industry as a whole. We have also to give credit to the trainers and the training network involved in the preparation of these young people for such prestigious competitions.”
All participants received a recognition of excellence certificate to acknowledge their achievement.
